On April 17th, 2020 during the Smash Sanctuary: Civil War online tournament it was confirmed by multiple players and the TOs that sebayee had set the launch rate to 0.9 in sets where he hosted the room, causing him to be KO'd at much later percents. Although he controversially won the tournament due to the TOs allowing him to continue instead of DQing him, he was denied his payout which was instead given to JW, who placed 2nd. <ref>{{cite web|url=https://twitter.com/SanctuaryGarage/status/1251903293342785539|title=Smash Sanctuary statement}}</ref>
