==Controversy==
Mono attracted a lot of controversy on Twitter in 2023 when he suggested that [https://twitter.com/monotheon/status/1700126180865622350 Riptide 2023 should not be requiring masks]. Speculation began that mono has secretly been an anti-masker, though he denied this on his stream. He has not commented on whether or not he believes that vaccinations work, or whether COVID was created by a conspiratorial One World Shadow Government. This controversial take saw him banned from the Melee Stats discord, although he was let back in at a later date.
