Maelstrom is a Smasher from Virginia. Initially a Smash 4 player, he switched to Melee towards the end of Smash 4's competitive lifespan, playing Fox. He made his mark on the competitive scene in the post-Slippi era, notably defeating players such as Khryke at Pound 2022, and eventually became one of the best Melee players in the MD/VA region, being the runner-up at two MDVA Summits. Outside of his region, he is known for placing 3rd at Patchwork 2024, defeating Dawson, and placing 9th at SoCal Star League Championship - Season 1, defeating Zanya.
