Despite this, he has received high praise from many members of the community for his unique setups and tricky playstyle. This lead to his being called Northern California's "Hidden Boss" and his subsequent ranking of 29th on [[Melee It On Me]]'s [[2013 SSBM Player Rankings]]. Lord was formerly ranked 4th on the [[NorCal Melee Power Rankings]].
