In ''Ultimate'', John Numbers is currently ranked 7th on the [[New York City Power Rankings]]. At the beginning of the game, he mained {{SSBU|Inkling}}; he now uses Inkling only as a pocket character. In addition to Wii Fit Trainer, he uses {{SSBU|Mii Swordfighter}} in certain matchups in which he finds difficult to play as Wii Fit Trainer. He has defeated players such as {{Sm|Samsora}}, {{Sm|Dabuz}}, {{Sm|Lui$}}, {{Sm|Sinji}}, {{Sm|Mr E}}, {{Sm|Suarez}}, {{Sm|Gen}}, and {{Sm|Tilde}}.
