Following Super Smash Con 2016, Jason would not enter many notable tournaments. At {{Trn|Don't Park on the Grass}}, Jason made it out of pools and notably defeated {{Sm|Spark|l=Melee}} before being eliminated by {{Sm|Hero Pie}}, earning him 9th place. Several months later, at {{Trn|Super Smash Con 2017}}, Jason managed to make it out of placement pools into Division 2 pools where he defeated all his opponents. He moved onto Division 1 pools where he notably defeated {{Sm|The Protagonist}}, but suffered losses against {{Sm|Wangera}} and {{Sm|HAMMERHEART}}. This earned him 33rd at the then-second largest ''Smash 64'' tournament.
