He has been competing in tournaments since 2003 and first gained national recognition after unexpectedly defeating {{Sm|Druggedfox}} at {{Trn|The Big House 5}} in Winner's Semis of Round 1 Pools. He has also eliminated {{Sm|Westballz}} at {{Trn|The Big House 7}} and defeated {{Sm|Axe}} at {{Trn|Full Bloom 4}}.
After his breakout performances in 2017, Ginger became an active [[Twitch]] streamer and is known for playing high level [[Anther's Ladder]] and later [[Project Slippi]] Ranked matches and for his catchphrase "zoinks" on stream.
