'''Ek''' is a {{SSBM|Marth}} and {{SSBM|Sheik}} player from Kungälv, Sweden, who was generally considered to be among the best players in Europe in his prime. During the 2005-2006 era, he was commonly considered to be the European equivalent of {{Sm|Ken}}. He became widely known in the community after {{Sm|Captain Jack}} complimented him, saying he's "as good as Ken" after narrowly defeating him in grand finals at RoofSM in January 2006. Ek regularly teamed with {{Sm|Helios}} in doubles tournaments. Ek was one of {{Sm|Armada}}'s inspirations in continuing to play ''Melee'' competitively and even resulted in the latter picking up {{SSBM|Marth}} as his main, albeit only for a brief period of time.
