| | Champ, is an American Smasher who mainly uses Fox. He was a panelist on the SoCal Brawl Power Rankings and the Pre-Brawl SoCal Melee Power Rankings. He is also the host of the Champ Combo series of tournaments (Champ Combo: Yayuhz & NorCal Editions/Version, NES and two events a la Pokemon; and Super Champ Combo, your typical big 3 day tourney) , whose nomenclature followed the naming conventions of Nintendo consoles, that ran mainly in the Melee era with one mini tournament in the Brawl era (Champ Combo Pocket), along with nealdt. It has been said that Champ's grammar is "too good" as it adds to the comedic value of his already funny posts, though he has been absent from Smash World Forums for quite some time. |
| |
| Champ is an American smasher who uses Fox at a professional level in Melee, Brawl, and Smash 4. He is respected among the SoCal Smash scene for being an overall great tournament director and a veteran in the smash scene since 2006. Champ was ranked in Melee during the "Golden age" and in Brawl during 2009. He went on hiatus after GENESIS and has returned to compete in Smash 4 using Fox again. Champ was previously ranked 16th on the SoCal Smash 4 Power Rankings.
| | Champ is known to log on to his UStream account and play Megaman 9, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption or show a rare live match between him and underground smash phenom Jmex. |
| |
| Besides being a player in all iterations of smash, he was also a prominent tournament director in the Southern California scene. Along with Nealdt, he hosted major events that were a pivotal part in keeping Melee and Brawl scene alive during 2007 - 2012. He was also a panelist for the Power Rankings for both Melee and Brawl. Champ helped organize and create 2GG alongside Jmex, an organization that has hosted numerous major Smash 4 tournaments, with running series.
| | ==Smash 64== |
| | Champ's knowledge of the original only goes far enough to tell you three things: 1) Link is crap 2) Kirby and Pikachu top tier and 3) Isai is a sodomizing rape machine. Which will generally suffice. |
| |
| Champ's play style was inspired by Masashi, who rarely uses short hops in Melee. In Smash 4, he is considered to be a high level Fox player on the West Coast and a sparring partner to Larry Lurr. Champ is also famously known for his combo in Melee which is call the Champ Combo, which consist of dash attack -> up tilt -> up air with Fox.
| | ==Melee== |
| | In the Melee era, he is known for having a mix-styled Fox, catching most American opponents off guard from the absence of short-hops and use of running attack. Due to the shffl'ed aerials being staples of Fox gameplay, his full-hopped un-fast-falled aerials serve as automatic mix-ups to the average smasher. His frequent use of the running attack led to the development of the "Champ Combo". Officially it consists of a running-attack to an up-tilt to an up-air. |
| |
| In Brawl, he's the only person to ever have been ranked in SoCal with Captain Falcon. In Smash 4, Champ has taken sets off players such as NCJacobT, Sho, ImHip, and C3PO.
| | He served as staff in Zero Challenge 2 (0c2). |
| |
| ==Tournaments organized==
| | Smash Idols for Champ were Masashi the pinnacle of J-styled Foxes and Thunders/Koto an American-styled Fox in Japan. |

| | At the onset of Brawl he used Snake. For those in the know he pioneered many of Snakes standard tactics, though due to Snake's popularity this information has fallen by the wayside [citation needed]. Snake eventually bored him to tears with his near invincibility and defensive/camping playstyle. His search for a new main led him through the low tiers where he found solace in the manly bosom of one Captain Falcon. His horrible priority, damage and knockback necessitated an aggressive playstyle, while his fast attacks and flashy combos facilitated it. Along the way he found himself redeeming other lower tiered characters: Fox, his old friend and Sheik the fallen ninja whom his friend had loved using int the melee era but was crestfallen at her brutal nerfing. Now Champ is credited with the veritable invention of these character's playstyles by those in the know. The elusive Fox; the aggressive Falcon, and the tilt-locking Sheik. |

| | Champ's tournament activity has come to a slow grind as appearances are rare. When he does appear he often goes random for reasons yet unknown. |
