He traveled to the U.S. to participate in APEX 2010 with fellow Japanese players EARTH, [[Smasher:Rain|RAIN]], and Suinoko. After losing to [[ChiboSempai]], he placed 2nd in his pool. He then proceeded to defeat players such as [[Ally]] and [[Lee Martin]] in winner's bracket before losing to [[DEHF]] in winner's finals. After defeating [[Mew2King]] in loser's finals, he lost again to DEHF in grand finals, placing 2nd. During his stay, Brood placed 2nd at First Down Last Stand, losing to [[ADHD]] in both winner's finals and grand finals.  


Brood is widely considered the best Piranha Plant player of all time. No other Piranha Plant player has matched Brood's performance at {{Trn|Umebura SP 4|g=SSBU}}, where he notably defeated {{Sm|ZAKI}}, {{Sm|Shuton}}, {{Sm|Gackt}}, and {{Sm|kameme}} en route to a 2nd place finish. Other than these wins, he has also defeated players such as {{Sm|ProtoBanham}}, {{Sm|KEN}}, and {{Sm|Jagaimo}}.
