As the tagger, I personally think this makes the most sense. If we ever do decide to do featured images and such, we can deal with it then. <span style="font-family:Monotype Corsiva;font-size:12pt"><span style="color:#083;text-shadow:0px 0px 3px #0b7">Serpent</span> <span style="color:#ed0;text-shadow:0px 0px 3px #fd0">King</span></span> 01:14, 14 November 2016 (EST)
Support until/unless we ever do featured images. <b><span style="color: black;">John</span></b> <b><span style="color: red;">PK SMAAAASH!!</span></b> 09:30, 14 November 2016 (EST)
Don't bother; the suggested move target could easily just be a redirect and the open-endedness of this title saves us a hassle later if we want to add types of featured content. It's not like there's anything wrong with the current title. :By that logic we could move Mario to Jumpman and have it redirect. <span style="font-family:Monotype Corsiva;font-size:12pt"><span style="color:#083;text-shadow:0px 0px 3px #0b7">Serpent</span> <span style="color:#ed0;text-shadow:0px 0px 3px #fd0">King</span></span> 11:31, 14 November 2016 (EST)
::...That really does not make any sense at all. Mario is unambiguously the character's name in near-100% of contexts except for the original Donkey Kong, in which his name was retconned. This is talking about something completely different in type: the labeling of an overarching category that right now only has one part of it that's being used. What's the issue with the current title? It's not misleading in the slightest, just more general than is immediately necessary, in a way that's completely harmless. Support. You know. This took a while for someone to notice that the title is not exact. == Show each nomination's score ==
1. This would keep track of score better than having to count the score each time.
2. Also, Making featured articles bimonthly or even monthly would help keep the front page for fresh and feature more articles that deserve it.
3. And for this rule: "In the event of a tie, an admin picks which article gets used." Which admin gets to break the tie? Just the first one that notices it?  --Meester Tweester (talk) 23:26, 1 October 2017 (EDT)
:# Have thought about this before and decided it would be too difficult to constantly keep track of.
:# We barely are getting the votes necessary to justify getting new articles in every 3 months.
:# Probably me, but it hasn't happened yet.

A question.
Hasn't the current article been going for more than two years now? When will we get a new featured article?
-Pep123 14:33, 13 July 2020 (CEST)
:As of now, it's been almost five years. On the main page, there's a notice "Due to SmashWiki working on other stuff, featured articles will be on break until further notice." Looking at the main page's history, the notice was officially put in July 2020. What's that "other stuff" mentioned by the notice? --<b><font color="#FFA000">G</font><font color="#D06000">a</font><font color="#C09030">r</font><font color="#F000C0">f</font><font color="#0050D0">QC</font></b> 16:20, April 29, 2023 (EDT)
