Score Display is a unlockable feature introduced in Super Smash Bros. Melee and returned for Super Smash Bros. Brawl. In Melee, it is unlocked by scoring a combined total of 5,000 KO's in VS Mode, while Brawl's incarnation requires a total of 200 KOs to unlock. Once unlocked, the player has the option to switch it on; if they do so, all combatants of Time and Bonus matches will have their total amount of points displayed on-screen, next to their name. Due to the irrelevance of KOs, falls, and SDs in Stock and Coin matches, the score display does not appear in these modes. | |||
