Editing SSBMRank 2016

The '''[[SSBMRank]] 2016''' lists the world's top 100 ''[[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]'' [[smasher]]s, as compiled by [[Melee It On Me]]. They were announced in a series of Red Bull eSports articles that were published from December 26th, 2016 to January 12th, 2017.   

==Methodology==

Over 50 people, such as [[professional smasher]]s, [[tournament organizer]]s, community leaders and volunteers, were chosen to be panelists for this edition of [[SSBMRank]]. The panelists were asked to rate players based on the following criterion:<br>''Given the quality and quantity of work in 2016 (from [[GENESIS 3]] to [[UGC Smash Open]]), if everyone entered 100 tournaments, who on average would place the best?''<br> They voted on a 1-10 scale with the best player receiving a "10" and the worst player receiving a "1". Ballots that were not scaled properly were rescaled using an algorithm. The two lowest and two highest ratings before taking the average were removed in order to reduce the variance.
