The '''2016-2017 SSBBRank''' is a list compiled by the {{Team|Brawl Bois}} community that ranks the world's top 20 ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]'' players from 2016 to 2017. The rankings were revealed live on the Brawl Bois' Twitch channel on January 15th, 2018. They were later posted on [[Smashboards]] and the [[Reddit|''Super Smash Bros.'' subreddit]].

==Methodology==
The list was compiled by a panel of ''Brawl'' players including {{Sm|Ironwolf}}, {{Sm|KVLT}}, {{Sm|Gardex}}, {{Sm|Luigisama}}, and {{Sm|Mikeray4}}. A total of eight tournaments were evaluated for the rankings. These tournaments were divided into three tiers based on the amount of entrants and the skill level of each entrant. The tournaments from 2016, while still vital to the rankings, were deemed less crucial than the tournaments that took place in 2017. This is due to the fact that players' performances can greatly fluctuate in the span of one year.
