Notices
The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters.
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted.
Check out our project page for ongoing projects that SmashWiki needs help with.

The '''Rules''' menu is a set of options available in [[Versus Mode]] in all of the ''[[Super Smash Bros.]]'' games. These options allow players to customize the upcoming game, including the format, win condition, order of operations, frequency of certain events, and the in-game physics to an extent.
The '''Rules''' menu is a set of options available in [[Versus Mode]] in all of the ''[[Super Smash Bros.]]'' games.

In ''[[Super Smash Bros. Ultimate]]'', custom rule presets using these options can be saved and given unique names. When entering a given [[mode]], the saved rulesets for that mode will appear, allowing the player to pick from the list or use a button shortcut to select the last used ruleset.

In this game, custom rule presets using these options can now be saved for easy future access without recreating the exact ruleset every time. Up to 30 (each for Smash/Custom Smash, Squad Strike, and Tourney) rulesets can be saved at a time, and the player can give a name to each of them. When entering a given [[mode]], the saved rulesets for that mode will appear, allowing the player to pick from the list.
