'''PMRank 2016''' is a ranking of the top 50 ''[[Project M]]'' players in the world. It is being announced in a series of [[Smashboards]] articles that will be published from February 27th, 2017 to March 8th, 2017. It was created by a group of panelists who were asked to rate players on a scale from 1 to 10. The highest and lowest scores for each player were dropped before taking the average to arrive at a final rating.

-A selection of top players, commentators, and tournament organisers comprised a panel for this edition of the PMRank. Panelists were asked to grade players based on the following criterion:
