Ultimate]]''. {{SSBU|Bowser}} is fought here for his unlock battle in ''Ultimate''. {{SSBU|Peach}} and {{SSBU|Daisy}}'s unlock battle in [[World of Light]] is also fought here in the Slide Lift Tower, while {{SSBU|Jigglypuff}} is fought on its Ω form during its unlock battle in World of Light.

==Stage overview==
This stage possesses four different layouts; it switches between them when [[Kamek]] appears and casts a spell.

===Acorn Plains===

The starting version is set in a grassland, based on the first world, Acorn Plains. Features a large main platforms with three smaller [[soft platform]]s above.

===Rock-Candy Mines===

The next variation is set in the mountains, based on the 6th world, Rock-Candy Mines. It features a single rock platform balanced on the tip of a spire; the platform balances like a lever.

===Meringue Clouds===

The next variation is a layout based on the 7th world, Meringue Clouds. It is set above pink clouds, and features two walled platforms separated by a pit, with floating platforms above the pit and the right platform.

===Slide Lift Tower===

The final variation of the stage is based on Slide Lift Tower, the tower found in Meringue Clouds. It is set in the inside of the tower, which features two solid blocks which move along a rectangular rail. In their movement the blocks rub onto each other, and are able to push fighters and [[item]]s.

===Other===
Several other elements and hazards from other worlds in ''{{s|mariowiki| New Super Mario Bros U}}'' can appear on the stage, independently of the current stage variation:
*A giant beanstalk which sprouts from the background and grows branches and leaves, which players can use as platforms. The beanstalk disappears after some time.
*Droplets of water which fall from the sky, soon followed by a giant icicle that [[freeze]]s any player who touches it while it is falling. These Icicles originated from the 4th world, Frosted Glacier. After striking the ground, the icicles serve as platforms which can be damaged and destroyed by attacks.
*Water geysers which spout upwards, acting as extra platforms. Players who touch them will be lifted up. Some of these geysers carry damaging Big Urchins on top of them. This originated from the 3rd world, Sparkling Waters.
*Various sets of {{s|mariowiki|Stretch Block}}s, small [[block]]s which act as solid platforms can autonomously stretch horizontally.
*Several Tower-themed soft platforms which traverse the stage horizontally.

[[Nabbit]] shows up periodically when the stage transforms. He chases after characters and tries to catch them in his bag. Once he traps a character, he attempts to float towards the upper blast line and KO them, much like the [[Beetle]] and [[Boss Galaga]] items. The bag can be escaped by [[button mashing]]. Nabbit is treated as a fighter, and therefore is vulnerable to attacks, grabs, and items - he even takes [[knockback]] proportional to damage - and can be defeated by being launched beyond the [[blast line]]s.

When Nabbit jumps across the pit in the Meringue Clouds variation, it is possible for the player to be caught in his bag mid-jump, causing both the player and Nabbit to plummet off the stage.

===Ω forms and Battlefield form===
In ''Super Smash Bros. for Wii U'', the [[Ω form]] is set on a flat rock platform with grass on top in the Acorn Plains portion of the regular form. Star KOs are possible here. The stage no longer transitions, which means Kamek never appears, and Nabbit, the beanstalk, icicles, water geysers, Big Urchins, and Stretch Blocks have also been removed. 

In ''Super Smash Bros. Ultimate'', Ω form and [[Battlefield form]] are similar to the Ω form in ''SSB4''; however, the main platform is now made of the grassy soil found at the beginning of the Acorn Plains portion, and it is resized and reshaped to match {{SSBU|Final Destination}} and {{SSBU|Battlefield}}, respectively. The three [[soft platform]]s of the Battlefield form are based on the three soft platforms in the Acorn Plains section of the normal form. Oddly, Star KOs can no longer occur here.

With hazards off in ''Ultimate'', Kamek never appears nor changes the stage, which remains in Acorn Plains for the duration of the match. Nabbit is also removed, and other hazards don't appear.

This stage is a combination of several stages from ''{{s|mariowiki|New Super Mario Bros. U}}''.
The main stage variations are based on: its first world, {{s|mariowiki|Acorn Plains}}; its sixth world, {{s|mariowiki|Rock-Candy Mines}}; its seventh world, {{s|mariowiki|Meringue Clouds}}; and the various [[mariowiki:Tower (New Super Mario Bros.)|tower levels]], particularly the {{s|mariowiki|Slide Lift Tower}}.

Water geysers, with or without {{s|mariowiki|Big Urchin}}s on top, are common in the world {{s|mariowiki|Sparkling Waters}}, while falling icicles which can be used as platforms appear in {{s|mariowiki|Frosted Glacier}}. The beanstalk originates from the Sparkling Waters hidden level: {{s|mariowiki|Skyward Stalk}}.

[[Kamek]] is a high-ranking member of [[Bowser]]'s army and one of the main antagonists in the {{uv|Yoshi}} series, a [[Magikoopa]] who, in some of the ''New Super Mario Bros.'' games, appears at the beginning of boss battles to transform the arena.

[[Nabbit]] first appeared in ''New Super Mario Bros. U''. He is a rabbit thief who steals items from {{s|mariowiki|Toad House}}s: players then can chase him across levels to retrieve the stolen items, being rewarded with a {{s|mariowiki|P-Acorn}} upon capture. Nabbit also appears to take the prize in {{s|mariowiki|enemy course}}s if players do not retrieve it in time.

Mushroom Kingdom U is banned from tournaments due to its several disruptive hazards such as icicles, Big Urchins, and Nabbit. It does, however, have a fairly neutral layout with hazards off, which has made its legality more debatable with hazards off.

*In ''Ultimate'', [[Nightmare]] and [[Andross]] can only be summoned from an [[Assist Trophy]] on the Battlefield and Omega forms of this stage. The [[Squid Sisters]] cannot be summoned on this stage at all. Additionally, [[Lugia]] can only be summoned from a [[Poké Ball]] on the stage's Battlefield and Omega forms.
*It is possible for Nabbit to get stuck under the metal platforms from the lift section during a transition and be KOd before even getting a chance to do anything.
*If Nabbit is not attacked enough when he has a fighter in his bag, he will carry them towards the upper blast line. This action could be a homage to [[Tac]] from the {{uv|Kirby}} universe, a fellow thief enemy that also makes various appearances in the ''{{b|Super Smash Bros.|series}}'' series.
**Coincidentally, both of them have the "Item Gravitation" skill as spirits.
