The '''Move List''' is a feature in ''[[Super Smash Bros. Ultimate]]'' that shows the player the [[special moves]] and [[Final Smash]]es of every playable character. It is accessible from the [[Help]] menu in the Dashboard, the pause menu, and [[Training Mode]]. A list of all available characters can be displayed with the [[X button]]; any characters currently in the match will be highlighted.

In addition to special moves, the following characters also have extra sections either detailing a [[fighter ability]], or further explaining a complex or multi-step special move.

By default, the entries for {{SSBU|Mii Brawler}}, {{SSBU|Mii Swordfighter}} and {{SSBU|Mii Gunner}} will have their default special moves displayed in the Move List, with their names preceded by a "1". If a [[Mii Fighter]] is present in a match with their second or third special moves, their selected special moves will be displayed instead, indicated with the corresponding number (if multiple Mii Fighters of the same type are present, only the one with the [[port priority|lowest port]] will have its special moves displayed).

==Trivia==
*Yoshi's [[Final Smash]] is referred to as [[Stampede!]] in the Move List, but as Yoshi Stampede in the [[tips]].
*Similar move lists appeared in the instruction manuals and Prima strategy guides for ''[[Melee]]'', ''[[Brawl]]'' and ''[[SSB4]]''. The instruction manual for ''[[Smash 64]]'' also had a move list, though it did not include descriptions or images.
*Moves that involve grabbing/trapping a character or involve being attacked to activate are shown being used on {{SSBU|Mario}}, but silhouetted black to keep the focus on the listed fighter. This was also the case in ''SSB4''.
*The move list is the only in-game location to explicitly show the [[fighter number]]s which are used to order fighters on the [[character selection screen]].
*In English, several of the Move List entries for the [[Downloadable content (SSBU)|DLC fighters]] (especially those from {{SSBU|Hero}} onward, and more glaringly those from {{SSBU|Min Min}} onward) are written in a noticeably different manner from the entries of base roster fighters, with longer and wordier descriptions, while also avoiding third-person references to the fighter in question in favor of second-person writing.
