Trivia[edit]
- This tournament marks the first time Nairo has taken a set off ZeRo since MLG World Finals 2015, and by extension the first time since the release of patch 1.1.6 over a year ago.
- Similarly, this tournament marks the first time ZeRo dropped a game in the Captain Falcon ditto, losing to Fatality.
- The Grand Finals featured a double champion bout. Fatality won Momocon in 2015, while Nairo won Momocon in 2016.
- With his victory over Fatality, Nairo became MomoCon's first two time champion.
