The '''Mario Bros. team''' is a special team that consists of [[Mario]] and [[Luigi]] that appears in  ''[[Super Smash Bros.]]''

The team consists of [[Mario (SSB)|Mario]] and [[Luigi (SSB)|Luigi]] and are battled on [[Peach's Castle]]. The player and a random character must defeat both Mario and Luigi in order to proceed to the next stage. This is on Stage 4 of [[1P Game]]. 

The Mario Bros. team also appears in [[Super Smash Bros. Melee]] in [[Adventure Mode]]. If the player has unlocked Luigi, they will fight [[Metal Mario]] and [[Metal Luigi]] instead of their regular forms. If Luigi has not been unlocked yet, then they will fight Metal Mario. If the player manages to defeat both brothers, they will be rewarded the '''Metal Bros. KO''' bonus. The Mario Bros. team does not appear as a team in Super Smash Bros. Melee's {{SSBM|Classic Mode}} (nor is it in [[Adventure Mode]]) since the team battles on ''Classic Mode'' are chosen at random. As a team though, they do not appear on 1 player modes in ''Melee'' (despite their usual appearance from [[Super Smash Bros.]]'s 1 player modes). However, they appear in the event matches ([[Event 31: Mario Bros. Madness]] and [[Event 38: Super Mario Bros. 2]]; with the addition of {{SSBM|Peach}} in Event 38: Super Mario Bros. 2). 

However they return in [[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]] and also appear on {{SSBB|Classic Mode}} in ''Brawl'' as a possible 2 vs. 2 opponent in the ''Mario'' series battle (making it their usual appearance in [[1P Game]] from the original; [[Super Smash Bros.]]); which is on Stage 8. They return as an opponent character on ''Classic Mode'' in ''Brawl''. 

Aside from their usual appearance (their usual appearance from [[Super Smash Bros.]] on [[1P Game]]) as a random 2 vs. 2 opponent on {{SSBB|Classic Mode}} (which appears in Stage 8), their only other appearance is in the events; [[Event 19: Wario Bros.]] (where the player is {{SSBB|Wario}}) and [[Co-Op Event 8: All MINE!]] (where P1 is {{SSBB|Wario}} and P2 is {{SSBB|Bowser}}). In Event 19: Wario Bros. the player must use Wario on the stage [[Mario Bros.]] to KO Mario and Luigi. Then completing the Event 19: Wario Bros., unlocks the [[unlockable stage]] [[Mario Bros.]]. In Co-Op Event 8: All MINE!, the two players (with P1 as {{SSBB|Wario}} and P2 as {{SSBB|Bowser}}) must get 2,000 coins from Mario and Luigi. In those two event matches, Mario and Luigi appear as an opposed team opponent and it makes them do their appearance as a 2 vs. 2 opponent from [[Super Smash Bros.]] (where they appear as an opponent character on ''1P Game''; and it's on Stage 4).
