The team consists of {{SSB|Mario}} and {{SSB|Luigi}} and are battled on [[Peach's Castle]]. The player and a random character must defeat both opponents in order to proceed to the next stage. This is Stage 4 of [[1P Game]].

Ultimate]]'', the Mario Bros. are fought as a team in {{SSBU|Donkey Kong}}'s, {{SSBU|Ganondorf}}'s, {{SSBU|Toon Link}}'s (who are joined by {{SSBU|Peach}} and {{SSBU|Yoshi}}), and {{SSBU|Pac-Man}}'s (who are joined by {{SSBU|Donkey Kong}}) {{SSBU|Classic Mode}} routes. Only Donkey Kong and Toon Link are given allies (being {{SSBU|Diddy Kong}} and a pair of Toon Links respectively) while the others do not have allies. {{SSBU|Mr. Game & Watch}} also fights both Mario and Luigi in his Classic Mode route but as a Free-for-All rather than as a team. They also appear in MC Ballyhoo & Big Top's spirit battle along with Peach and Yoshi with all four fighters wearing their blue {{SSBU|alternate costume}}s.
