Majora's Mask appears as a stage that available only during [[Event 47: Trophy Tussle 3]], for which the player receives the trophy. It has two horns on top (the human player starts on the left horn), and together, they create an enclosed area between them. Both sides of the stage are curved. They then lead down to some horizontal horns, which can be used as [[ledge]]s.

[[zeldawiki:Masks|Masks]] play a prominent role in ''The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.'' [[zeldawiki:Majora's Mask (Object)|One of them]] serves as the main antagonist of the game.

Prior to the events of Majora's Mask, a wandering [[Skull Kid]] had ambushed a [[zeldawiki:Happy Mask Salesman|man]] in the forest. The man attacked in the forest is later revealed to be the Mask Salesman from ''Ocarina of Time''. Apparently, he knew of Majora's Mask and the [[zeldawiki:Ancient Tribe|tribe]] that made use of its powerful sorcery to bewitch people. as demonstrated by the Skull Kid's mischief. Because of the mask's great power, and in fear of all the catastrophes committed by said mask, it (along with the tribe) vanished from history. Indeed, Skull Kid stole Majora's Mask, completely unaware of the fact that a great evil was housed inside it, and ultimately being a victim to the mask's influence. Using his new-found power, he performed all kinds of mischief like turning Link into [[zeldawiki:Deku Scrub|a Deku]]. The Mask Salesman feared [[zeldawiki:Terminan Apocalypse|a horrible catastrophe]] would happen again, giving Link no choice but to stop all kinds of havoc in [[Termina]].

After a series of trials, Link eventually freed [[zeldawiki:Four Giants|Termina's guardians]] from their imprisonment. After learning a [[zeldawiki:Oath to Order|melody of trust,]] Link played the melody to prevent the destruction of Termina and free Skull Kid from the mask. The mask later revealed itself, stating that the Skull Kid was merely a puppet in his plan. He entered and possessed the [[zeldawiki:Moon (Majora's Mask)|moon he created]], and Link followed after the mask.  

From there he found a [[zeldawiki:Moon Children|child]] wearing Majora's Mask. He asked to play Tag, to which Link reluctantly agrees. If the player has given away all their non-transformation masks away to the four lunar children (who disappear after they finish playing Hide-and-Seek with Link), the only child will give Link [[zeldawiki:Fierce Deity's Mask|a powerful, yet sinister mask.]] The player can only wear this mask in boss rooms.

Majora serves as the final boss of the game. He is fought in three phases, which transform into a humanoid figure after each fight; these forms are Mask, Incarnation and Wrath. Despite using powerful attacks (some of which are of a bizarre and childish manner), Majora is of no match to Link's power and is ultimately defeated. He disappears, along with the moon that he created. Link wakes up in south Termina Field, and see an ashamed Skull Kid. The Mask Salesman picks up the mask, seeing that the spirit has been destroyed for good, and bids Link farewell.
