The regional seat concept was refined in this season; for a region to be considered a "regional seat", it must meet the following criteria:
*For regions in the United States and Japan, it will be based off whether the region's top five players score an average rank of 100 or more, with the ranking being based off the [[LumiRank 2023/North America Top 200|LumiRank 2023 North America]] and [[LumiRank 2023/Japan Top 200|LumiRank 2023 Japan]], respectively.
*For regions in Europe, it will be based off whether the region's top five players score an average rank of 50 or more, with the ranking being based off the [[LumiRank 2023/Europe Top 100|LumiRank 2023 Europe]]
*For regions in Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America, they must have multiple representatives on their respective LumiRank 2023 regional rankings.
*For other regions, it will be based off players in the top spots of their unpublished regional rankings.

Several adjustments were also made to the player points system, including the toning down of invitational values and players who make the top 100 or the top 100 honorable mentions list no longer counting for regional rankings, with the next eligible players replacing them. In addition, following controversies with the inclusion of {{Trn|Litvitational 2}} on the 2024.1 season TTS and the initial inclusions of the pre-{{Trn|Supernova 2024}} invitationals {{Trn|Dr Insanos Bonfire}} and {{Trn|SMFN Invitational}} on this season's TTS, eligibility requirements for pre-major invitationals were changed to match the eligibility requirements for pre-major locals. Finally, with the advent of the [[CSRP]], tournaments which featured players on the list were disbarred from the rankings.

The ranking requirements for players initially was the same as the previous season. However, following the postponement of some large events into the next season, the requirements were loosened a bit: although players are still required to attend four events in order to qualify for the rankings, players only had to attend at least one B+-tier event or higher, while one of said four events could be an invitational, though only the highest-tiered invitational is factored in.
