Kirbys on Parade is the 6th event match of the 51 event matches in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

The player controls a fighter of their choice and must win a stock match against a team of three tiny CPU Kirbys on the Fountain of Dreams stage, where the player starts with 1 stock, while each Kirby starts with 2 stocks. The event match features no time limit. The CPU Kirbys' artificial intelligence is set at Level 8.

When the match starts, the player's fighter spawns on the leftmost soft platform, while the default Kirby spawns on the rightmost soft platform, the yellow Kirby spawns on the topmost soft platform, and the white Kirby spawns in the center of the main platform. The tiny CPU Kirbys are light, weak, and tend to avoid the player and use Final Cutter from afar; however, if the player's character comes to close to the Kirbys, they will attack erratically. This is because each of the Kirbys uses the FREAK CPU mode, which makes them to stay where they are, but attack when an opponent comes near.

Trivia[edit]

  • This event match's Japanese name, "Story of the Fountain of Dreams" is derived from the sub-title for the Japanese name of Kirby's Adventure: Kirby of the Stars: The Story of the Fountain of Dreams.
  • If the player chooses Kirby and picks one of the colors featured in this event match, these oddities will occur.
    • If the player chooses the Yellow costume, the P3 Kirby will use the Blue costume.
    • If the player chooses the default costume, the P2 Kirby will use the Yellow costume and will be the same color as P3 Kirby. The P3 Kirby will not be a lighter shade, despite this.
    • If the player chooses the White costume, the P4 Kirby will use the default costume and will be the same color as P2 Kirby. As with the Yellow costume oddity, P4 Kirby will not be a lighter shade to compensate.
