| ==Franchise description== | | The '''''Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru''''' universe refers to the characters, stages and property that come from the Game Boy game ''Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru'' (''For the Frog the Bell Tolls''). It is translated as "The Frog For Whom the Bell Tolls" in America. |
| The game was released for the Game Boy in Japan only in 1992. It is an action adventure RPG that stars the [[Prince of Sablé]]. The Prince of Sablé has always had a rivalry with Prince Richard of the Custard Kingdom. When Princess Tiramisu is kidnapped by the evil King Delarin, the two princes race to save her first. Prince Richard gets a head start and the Prince of Sablé is forced to play catch-up. Over the course of the game, the Prince of Sablé gains the ability to turn into a frog and a snake, which are required to progress through the story. Humorously, throughout the game, the Prince of Sablé attempts to solve his problems with money, but never succeeds. | | == Franchise description == |
