Jacky Bryant is a recurring character in the video game series ''Virtua Fighter''. Jacky is a professional {{s|wikipedia|IndyCar}} racer, his career earning him the nickname "Blue Flash". Jacky was born on August 28, 1970 in San Francisco, California and was injured in the 1990 Indianapolis 500. After 2 years later of intense physical therapy, Jacky discovered that a mysterious group caused the accident and kidnapped his sister, Sarah. After being defeated in the first tournament and failing to rescue his sister, Jacky became an instructor of Jeet Kune Do while biding his time for the next tournament. He successfully managed to rescue Sarah, but discovered she was brainwashed and the attempt to return her to normal accidentally caused her memory loss.

As a reference to his career, he is featured as a playable character in ''Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing'' in a team with [[Akira Yuki]]. He's also playable in ''Dead or Alive 5: Ultimate'' along with Akira, Sarah, and Pai Chan. Jacky's fighting style makes use of Bruce Lee's famous and incredibly versatile Jeet Kune Do style, allowing him a few of Bruce Lee's actual techniques that he chose to perfect during his lifetime. The most important aspect of Jacky's playstyle are his combos, which can be utilized to repeatedly strike and inflict massive damage.


Hearing that Sarah was entering the next tournament to remember her past, Jacky also entered to protect her. Once Sarah regained her memories, Jacky lost his drive and stopped training to return to racing. Jacky would start his own racing team, but all potential sponsors were killed by a mysterious entity known as J6. Jacky then received a letter from J6 claiming every sponsor will be killed if Jacky doesn't enter the next tournament. J6 was later revealed to be the mastermind behind the mysterious group that kidnapped Sarah and tried to kill Jacky both directly and financially on multiple occasions. If J6 and the group is not dealt with once and for all, Jacky's life will never be peaceful.
Jacky has a hot passion for speed, to a point where it extends to everything in his life. He didn't rescue her (his intentions in the 1st and 2nd tournaments) until Virtua Fighter 3, but made her lose her memory due to an attempt to un-brainwash her. She ended up moving to her own apartment in New York. He joined the 3rd tournament to protect her.
 
Sarah did regain her memories and Jacky lost the motivation to fight. He started his own racing team, but J6 killed any sponsor he had. He joined the 4th tournament due to a letter J6 gave him making him join. Vanessa Lewis, Sarah's bodyguard, went missing after the 4th tournament. J6 was still messing with his racing career, making sponsors pull-out and his car breaking down. Jacky decided to get revenge and then the invitation to the 5th tournament came.
