==Origin==
Jacky Bryant is a recurring character in the video game series ''Virtua Fighter''. Jacky is a professional {{s|wikipedia|IndyCar}} racer, his career earning him the nickname "Blue Flash". Jacky was born on August 28, 1970 in San Francisco, California and was injured in the 1990 Indianapolis 500. After 2 years later of intense physical therapy, Jacky discovered that a mysterious group caused the accident and kidnapped his sister, Sarah. After being defeated in the first tournament and failing to rescue his sister, Jacky became an instructor of Jeet Kune Do while biding his time for the next tournament. He successfully managed to rescue Sarah, but discovered she was brainwashed and the attempt to return her to normal accidentally caused her memory loss.

Hearing that Sarah was entering the next tournament to remember her past, Jacky also entered to protect her. Once Sarah regained her memories, Jacky lost his drive and stopped training to return to racing. Jacky would start his own racing team, but all potential sponsors were killed by a mysterious entity known as J6. Jacky then received a letter from J6 claiming every sponsor will be killed if Jacky doesn't enter the next tournament. J6 was later revealed to be the mastermind behind the mysterious group that kidnapped Sarah and tried to kill Jacky both directly and financially on multiple occasions. If J6 and the group is not dealt with once and for all, Jacky's life will never be peaceful.

Jacky is an adrenaline junky with a hot passion for speed, to a point where it extends to everything in his life. He considers himself "faster than lightning", and has a very low tolerance for anything or anyone he perceives as being too slow. In any situation he finds himself in, he never loses his confidence, especially when it comes to Sarah, his friends, or his racing career. Jacky enters the World Fighting Tournament in an effort to put an end to Judgment 6, the organization responsible for all the troubles he and his sister have endured throughout the series.

Outside of the main series, Jacky has a prominent appearance in ''Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing'', possibly as a reference to his racing career—in the console and PC versions, he races in a team with [[Akira Yuki]], while in the DS version, he races by himself. He's also playable in ''Dead or Alive 5: Ultimate'' along with Akira, Sarah, and Pai Chan. Jacky's fighting style makes use of Bruce Lee's famous and incredibly versatile Jeet Kune Do style, allowing him a few of Bruce Lee's actual techniques that he chose to perfect during his lifetime. The most important aspect of Jacky's playstyle are his combos, which can be utilized to repeatedly strike and inflict massive damage.

Jacky is the basis for a paid [[downloadable content]] [[Alternate costume (SSB4)#Wave 2|costume]] for {{SSB4|Mii Brawler}}s. Nintendo also released a [http://www.smashbros.com/images/dlc/image/qr_sample06.jpg QR code] for those who wish to have the exact Mii used in the costume's advertising. The costume resembles his appearance from ''Virtua Fighter 5'' and its updates, where he wears a black leather jacket with somedetails in red, and black leather pants and shoes.

In the New Content Approaching Direct, the Jacky Mii is seen fighting [[Zero Suit Samus (SSB4)|Zero Suit Samus]], a possible reference to how she and [[wikipedia:Sarah Bryant (Virtua Fighter)|Sarah Bryant]] look similar.

Jacky returns as a {{SSBU|downloadable content}} [[Mii Costume]] for {{SSBU|Mii Brawler}}s, released with the fourth wave of Mii Fighters.

In the Wave 4 Mii Costume showcase for ''Ultimate'', he and Akira are shown fighting a [[metal]] Mii Brawler, referencing Dural.  Jacky's [https://www-aaaba-lp1-hac.cdn.nintendo.net/en-US/5cdbba69/index.html? promotional blurb] recommends equipping [[Soaring Axe Kick]] to approximate his Somersault Kick technique.
