==Overview==

Giant Kirby is fought on Stage 5 of Adventure Mode upon the [[Green Greens]] [[stage]] and is a completely optional boss. If the player has met the requirement to battle him, a cinematic will play where he drops onto the second floating platform with a slightly deepened boing sound into a crouching state. He then quickly stands up straight and curves his neutrally positioned mouth into a small smile. The player can be seen at the lower-left region of the screen when Giant Kirby makes his entrance.

Giant Kirby is slightly larger than a regular Kirby with a [[Super Mushroom]], and is heavier and stronger than Kirby. If the player defeats Giant Kirby, he or she will receive the [[List of bonuses|bonus]] ''Giant Kirby KO'', which awards 10,000 extra points.

Giant Kirby also appears in ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]'' and ''[[Super Smash Bros. 4]]'' as a random giant opponent in [[Classic Mode]] (despite his frequent apperance in ''Melee''). In ''Brawl'' he is randomly fought on stage 5 with either {{SSBB|Meta Knight}} or {{SSBB|King Dedede}} fighting alongside the player. King Dedede and Meta Knight also can be a giant opponent. So he is a possible giant opponent in Stage 5 on Classic Mode in ''Brawl''; despite his frequent appearance in 1 player modes from ''Melee'' (which is [[Adventure Mode]] in ''Melee''; and takes place on Stage 5). In both of these two installments (''Brawl'' and ''Smash 4'') this is his only appearance aside from being a possible giant opponent in Stage 5 on ''Classic Mode''.
