Gamer (ゲーマー, Gamer) is a stage in forwiiu (where it is stylised as GAMER in the PAL version) and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, based on the Gamer minigame from Game & Wario. In for Wii U, Wario is fought here for his unlock battle.
Gamer (ゲーマー, Gamer) is a stage in forwiiu, based on the Gamer minigame from Game & Wario.

Stage overview
Stage layout
The stage is set on mariowiki's desk. Its main platform is always present, but, like Tortimer Island, the rest of its layout is randomized and changes each time the stage is played. The table will always have stickers of 5-Volt, 9-Volt, mariowiki, and Ana. Additional platforms can contain stickers of Ashley, mariowiki and another Ana. If the sketchbook is present on the stage, it will flip pages to show pictures of mariowiki, mariowiki, and either mariowiki (SSB4 only) or mariowiki (Ultimate only).
The stage is set on mariowiki's desk. Its main platform is always present, but - like Tortimer Island - the rest of its layout is randomized and changes each time the stage is played. Sometimes 5-Volt, 9-Volt, mariowiki, Spitz, and Ana will appear on the stage as stickers on the table. If the easel is present on the stage, it will flip pages to show pictures of Mona, Jimmy T., and Young Cricket.

Occasionally, 9-Volt's mother, 5-Volt, will enter the room and look for fighters. Her line of sight is represented by a beam of light, which fighters can escape by hiding behind objects on the desk. If 5-Volt spots a fighter, she will get mad and deal 20% damage, high knockback, and paralysis to them. In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, fighters with Zap Floor Immunity spirits will still be paralyzed by 5-Volt but her paralyzing effect lasts shorter than fighters who don't have them. It is blockable, but deals enough shield damage to break a full shield. She can appear in different places such as in the doorway, window, TV, gamepad, or sketchbook (the latter two only if they are present on the stage). Harmless fake-outs can also occur in the same locations, typically in tandem with 5-Volt.
Occasionally, 9-Volt's mother, 5-Volt, will enter the room and look for fighters. Her line of sight is represented by a beam of light, which fighters can escape by hiding behind furniture (the layout of the furniture changes every match). If 5-Volt spots a fighter, she will get mad and deal 20% damage and high knockback, and paralyzing the fighter. It is blockable, but deals enough shield damage to break a full shield. She can appear in the doorway (occasionally opening it again), window (occasionally smashing it and she will occasionally go back to the window), TV (occasionally jumping out of it and walking around to spot a fighter), or, if the stage is set a certain way, she will appear from a gaming pad or picture from an easel. Fake-outs can also appear.

{| class="wikitable"
In some instances, Pyoro (as seen in the Game & Wario minigame "Bird") will appear on the right side of the stage, and a building from the Game & Wario minigame "Shutter" will appear in the center. Both of these structures still provide ample cover room from 5-Volt.

|rowspan=2|Squatting, facing away from the TV, then standing up before moving towards the door then back to the TV. She will sit down and turn on the TV. This action is accompanied by more intense music. She will then do one of the following, with a chance to do the other afterwards:
*If she turns off the TV, she will turn her head towards the table. If she decides to leave, she will stand up and move towards the door, pausing halfway through, before leaving through the door.
*If the TV shows a multicolored testing pattern, she will sprint towards the table to look, viewing a small area but very quickly. There is a chance she will fall asleep at the table, producing a "snot bubble" which will eventually pop, waking her and resulting in her looking at the table again. If she decides to leave, she will sprint towards the window and crash through it.
*Walk towards the door again pausing halfway, leaving without doing the other options.
|A silhouette of a dog-like shadow puppet will appear instead of 5-Volt's.
|-
|A multicolored testing pattern will show instead of static.
|-
|TV shows
|Two channels, with one of them being a news reporter introducing a controller in the intro of Game & Wario, will show before switching to a channel with 5-Volt, where she will then lean out of the TV.
|The third channel will have a cat, which will jump out of the TV and run across the room before jumping back into the TV.

|rowspan=2|Windows
|rowspan=2|Walking outside
|rowspan=2|5-Volt will walk outside and open the second window (e.g. if she appears from the left, she will open the right window). She will sometimes appear as if she is ascending stairs, being visible partway between the window instead of from the side. She will sometimes do the reverse, descending stairs before popping up at the second window. There is a chance that she will return walking backwards to open the window again. She can also break the glass, seeing faster.
|A man wearing a wig will open the window instead of 5-Volt. His wig wobbles as he walks, giving him away. His wig falls off before he opens the window. He and 5-Volt will sometimes both appear outside, where they will meet and bow at each other—the bow will make the man's wig fall off. There is a chance that 5-Volt will still open the window or continue walking.
|-
|If she descended stairs, she will sometimes pop up upside down while spinning, moving towards the way she came in. The suspenseful music will continue to play until she is out of sight.
|-
|Sketchbook
|Page turning
|5-Volt's silhouette will be shown. She won't look for a while, but when she starts looking it will trigger quickly. She only sees what is directly in front of the page, even missing the area below that is in front of the easel.
|The page will turn and show a WarioWare character other than 5-Volt.
|-
|Gamepad
|Balloon Fighter will start playing
|Balloon Fighter's gameplay will start glitching. Soon after static will start, showing 5-Volt's silhouette shortly after. Her silhouette will grow out of the gamepad and then suddenly, but briefly, looking at the area immediately in front of her.
|Balloon Fighter's gameplay will play normally then switch to static before powering off.

Ω forms and Battlefield form
Fake-outs
In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, the Ω form only features a desk with no other features that extends below the blast line. 5-Volt will not pop out to attack players, though she'll still appear in the background, and the fake-outs still happen. The TV can still show the stage 5-Volt normally pops out. The door will always be shut.
These 10 Fake-outs will occur just to scare players and are not harmful.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the Ω form and Battlefield form are similar to SSB4s Ω form; however, the main platform does not extend below the blast line and is resized and reshaped to match Final Destination and Battlefield, respectively and the pencils and the WarioWare character stickers from the original stage still appear with the Ana sticker appear to be moved inward. The three soft platforms of the Battlefield form resemble the green book soft platforms of the regular form with stacks of books in the background supporting them. 5-Volt may enter her "attack" position through the window, but won't actually attack. Additionally, characters can pass through the room's walls.
*A cat will appear at the door instead of 5-Volt.
*The door will crack open, but no one will be visible.
*A man wearing a wig will open the window instead of 5-Volt.
*5-Volt will duck out of sight from the window, then come back up weirdly spinning like a top. Note that the suspenseful sound will keep playing until she leaves the window.
*5-Volt may simply pass the window after meeting the man.
*The TV will be static, it can also show a hand making some kind of gesture.
*The TV will show a "SIGNAL LOST" screen.
*A cat will appear on the TV and jump out, running around the room.
*The Gamepad will turn to static, but instead of 5-Volt appearing, it will just power off.
*The suspenseful sound will play, then stops as the easel flips to show a picture other than 5-Volt.

The Omega form only features a desk with no other features. 5-Volt will not pop out to attack players, though she'll still appear in the background, and the fake-outs still happen.

Hazards Off
While retaining layout randomization, neither 5-Volt nor any fake-outs appear. If present, 9-Volt's GamePad remains off and the sketchbook only shows Mona.

mariowiki is a minigame in Game & Wario. The player would play as 9-Volt trying to play games past his bedtime (in the form of traditional WarioWare microgames on the Wii U GamePad) while his mother, 5-Volt, tries to catch him from different locations such as the windowsill and television. Pressing the Wii U and Wii U triggers simultaneously makes 9-Volt hide under the covers to avoid her wrath; however, players lose if his mom catches him playing, they lose all four of their lives, or 9-Volt falls asleep from staying under the blanket for too long while 5-Volt is absent. The same gamepad used in the minigame may appear in the center portion of the stage.

Some layouts can feature elements from other Game & Wario minigames. The right portion of the stage can feature mariowiki and its clay platform from the minigame mariowiki. The center stage may feature a building from Stages 1 and 3 in Mona's minigame mariowiki along with its occupants.

The mode returns in mariowiki under the name Sneaky Gamer with the same premise, albeit on the bottom screen of the Nintendo 3DS instead of the Wii U GamePad. The artwork is all redone to match the character designs in Gold and 9-Volt's Nintendo systems are re-arranged.

In both SSB4 and Ultimate, the stage's design resembles the Game & Wario version of the mode, and 5-Volt retains her Game & Wario design. However, the stickers and sketchbook images depicting various WarioWare character art are updated in Ultimate from Game & Wario art to Gold art.
Pressing the ZL and ZR triggers simultaneously makes 9-Volt hide under the covers to avoid her wrath; however, if he spends too much time under the covers, he will fall asleep, ending the game. If his mother spots him, the game ends.

Tournament legality
Tournament Legality
Due to the stage's variable layout and the presence of 5-Volt as a stage hazard, this stage is universally banned from tournaments. However, some early proposed rulesets for Ultimate have included Gamer as a potential counterpick stage, provided that stage hazards are turned off, and the layout stays the same throughout. However, in the final game, even if the stage hazards are turned off, the layout is randomized and may include caves of life, though 5-Volt will not appear.

The Battlefield and Ω forms of this stage are sometimes banned due to the camera angles differing from other Battlefield and Ω forms, causing logistical issues around fair stage striking.

*The suspenseful sound will only play if the song playing is gamer, this may make 5-volt catch players by surprise.
*The visible outer walls of this stage have no collision detection; when characters are knocked off, they can be seen going through the walls. This is most likely because of blast zones needing to be on the stage, which compromises the existence of the walls.
*In Ultimate, the following Assist Trophies cannot appear on this stage: the Moon (due to the stage being indoors), Nightmare, Andross, Devil, Nikki (due to the dark background obscuring her drawings) and the Squid Sisters. Additionally, Lunala cannot be summoned from a Poké Ball here.
