Editing Forum:Unsubstituting substituted signatures

Is there any template that allows you to substitute something "back" into a template? This is for allowing you to type ~~<nowiki/>~~ and get a templated sig. [[User:Smiddle|Smiddle]] ([[User talk:Smiddle|talk]]) 05:59, 26 December 2010 (EST)

::Yes it is. If I remember correctly, you create a template saying <nowiki>{{{{{1}}}}}</nowiki>. Let's call the template A, and the template that you want to un-substitute B. Then, all you have to do is <nowiki>{{SUBST:A|B}}, resulting in {{B}}</nowiki>. Judging by your reply, I am assuming that it doesn't exist and I'm creating it (just to be sure, I searched through [[:Category:Templates]]). 	You aren't logged in. While it's not a requirement to create an account, doing so makes it a lot easier to keep track of your edits and a lot harder to confuse you with someone else. If you edit without being logged in, your IP address will be recorded in the page's edit history.

Sigs must be substituted if you use a subpage for them, and once substituted they must be short enough to fit in the signature box in Preferences.
