:::The answer is most likely a no.  Hacking the system is still possible, though.  If you're planning on getting a new wii, which it sounds like, it is conceivable that you could buy a new wii, void the warranty by cracking it open and just replacing the hard drive one-for-one.  That would be complicated, but in theory it is possible, if you don't mind voiding your warranty, and assuming the hard drive itself isn't the problem.
