Forum:CPU aint as smart as the 1st game right?
Well, i was playing SSBM n SSBB, i realized that perhaps the CPU level has gone down since the 1st Super Smash
I agree. The amount of fakeness for lvl 9s totally increased in Brawl than in the original. It's like playing against a robot (but who plays against CPUs? :P) Friedbeef1 Love 00:06, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
If you make a stage a certain way, they'll try to go through the blocks. As for difficulty, It's like the CPUs are ganging up on you. So the CPUs are difficult (if on a good stage) and stupid (if on a bad stage from the stage builder). Unknown the Hedgehog 00:35, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
I agree. Once when I was by a ledge, I jumped over a landmaster (as Dedede) and the CPU (wolf) fell off the edge. This was in Rainbow Cruise.
CPUs sucked on Rainbow Cruise in both SSBM and SSBB. I find that the randomizer is a little screwy sometimes (randomizer = internal computer decision-making thingy that chooses if the CPU will shield now or not, etc. Higher level CPU = randomizer more in their favour). Example: I attack right next to them and they whip out a shield with super-human reaction time, while on another instance I threw a Bob-omb from across the stage at a lvl. 9 and they stood there and were KO'd (wtf?). I guess the Wii generated the 0.1% chance of them getting hit?--Meta-Kirb (talk) 02:57, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
AI sucks in all games, especially when they fight each other. :p In SSBB, it's most notable that the CPUs focus on attacking the human player, or the opponent with the highest amount of damage. Hell, even if you team up with one, s/he will thief your KO! Blue Ninjakoopa 04:35, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
I almost prefer playing level 8s for that exact reason. It's too easy to manipulate the fact that a level 9 will focus almost entirely on killing the player with the most damage.KnaveofHearts (talk) 20:44, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
- sometimes, a lower level AI can beat a higher level one. I have more trouble from a level 5 Lucas than I do with a level 9. O_O Blue Ninjakoopa 21:21, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
- lol, only you, BNK :P. That's probably because you're so used to higher-level play that you overlook simple yet effective moves that a lvl 5 uses but a lvl 9 wouldn't. Friedbeef1 Love 21:27, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
No, the CPU intelligence was idiotic in the original, decent in melee. But much smarter in brawl - Hatake91 (talk) 01:28, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
In SSB, the CPUs used shields all the time to where you would lose somehow. Melee, the CPUs wouldn't use the shield as much but, still often. Brawl, if in a free for all the CPUs mainly attack the human player. I've seen the CPU team up against the human in Brawl. Unknown the Hedgehog 01:45, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
I've had a CPU Falcon, level 7 I believe, chase me around the entire Hyrule Temple when I was Sonic for about 2 minutes until he pulled off his FS on me. He completely ignored the 2 other CPUs, and they didn't fight each other at all during this time.E123Brawler Ω 06:33, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
The first game had excellent CPU. The second game had horrible CPU. And this one is, well, right near the first game's CPU. IDK which is best. I always defeat Level 9s. -.- SapphireKirby777 19:08, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
