I have started a little project in hopes of finding which character is really "strongest". I add up all the top damage percentages of each move on a character's moveset, divide by the number of moves on the moveset and get a number. I hope that I will have a chart put out with all the information on it. The system isn't perfected yet (varying strengths of moves, certain damage percentages not on the moveset have been drawbacks), but I have a (REALLY) rough estimate that Meta Knight's average strength is 11%, but my calculations have to be fixed. If anyone thinks they might be able to find the average strength, be my guest and post it here. --O2 (talk) 19:24, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

Most statistics experts (which I wouldn't claim to be) would say here that an average isn't enough. You'd also want to include mode, range, and standard deviation into the table. For example, {3, 5, 17, 19} and {9, 10, 12, 13} both average to 11, but there is a large difference between the two sets. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 19:39, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
:I understand what you are saying. Even though the two sets average out to the same thing, it is still an average of damage output. If Kirby and Donkey Kong start coming out with identical averages, then I will start gettin' worried. I will include those suggestions to the table. I will, however, still like to base my judgements on averages. I ain't no mathmatician either (in fact I hate math) but if it is in the name of Smash....it will be done. --O2 (talk) 02:02, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
