Do you think i should add a 3rd party controllers article to SmashWiki? I'm really just thinking whether a third party controller article is notable enough. Please leave your thoughts below. Thanks! Speaking as a competitive smasher myself, 3rd party controllers are generally considered vastly inferior compared to 1st party due to being typically made of cheaper plastic as well as the buttons either tending to be not responsive enough or too responsive. As such, most 3rd party controllers are generally avoided and therefore have very little significance in the competitive scene. #No, third party controllers are not used too much by people because they are made with a cheaper quality and the official controllers are more notable so we would easily forget some and they at most should have a section on an article but not a page. Aside for use in competitive play, what significance does 3rd party controllers have in ''Smash''? The only one I can think of that has any use is [[Smash Box]], which has a page on here. :The only really notable 3rd party controllers I can think of are the Smash Box and the Hori Pad Mini. Outside of that, smashers to my knowledge avoid 3rd party controllers due to being overall cheaper and less reliable. For me, I actually use a controller brand called "8BitDo". :::Personally I think if ''any'' 3rd party controller needs to be mentioned somewhere, it's the Hori Pad Mini. It's considered the tournament standard controller for Smash 64 tournaments, so I'm surprised I haven't seen it pop up anywhere on the wiki.
