Notices
The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters.
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted.

The main reason I uploaded the non-transparent JPGs from the SmashBrosJP twitter instead of the transparent official art from the Sakuna website is that the latter has a dropshadow which is absent in the Smash spirits. Is that enough to warrant using this version still, or nah? Miles (talk) 23:43, August 6, 2021 (EDT)

I'd much rather a dropshadow that is barely visible at the scales they are used (only a 10% alpha too) than a large, white rectangle that clashes with everything (especially for anyone using a dark theme). The pre-rip images we used for Paper Mario: The Origami King had dropshadows too, so this isn't the first time. --CanvasK (talk) 00:30, August 7, 2021 (EDT)
In addition to what Canvas said, it's just less of a hassle to use a PNG image that, while not 100% accurate, can be updated to the full rip from TSR, not to mention that no clean-up is required (granted, the clean-up is nowhere near as tedious as something link trying to convert "uvm" links into "uv" links, but that's beside the point).
