Chibi-Robo's ownership

According to Chibi-Robo's character copyright notice shown on its amiibo, the rights to the character are owned jointly by Nintendo, Bandai Namco, and Skip (© Nintendo / BANDAI / BNEI / SKIP). So, at least in Nintendo's case, when a character is parsley owned by both them and a third-party company (Bandai Namco), are they still considered a first-party Nintendo character? Sure, several of Nintendo's second-party developers have shared ownership to certain characters included in Smash (i.e., Kirby characters co-owned by Nintendo and HAL and Pokémon characters co-owned by Nintendo, Creatures, Game Freak, and The Pokémon Company), but this is different. I'm a very curious person, so I like reading copyright of almost every piece of media there is. It's my hobby. So when there are certain copyrights mentioned in the legal notice, whether on TV or in video games, I had to look up some more info on the web, figuring out which owns what.
