Falco is ranked 7th out of 38 on the Brawl tier list, at the bottom of the A Tier, a slight drop from his Melee tier placement, where he was ranked 4th out of 26. Unlike most high-ranking Melee veterans, Falco transitioned very well into Brawls meta, not only being able to play a slow and careful game, but also rack up damage quickly and easily despite the game's defensive nature. Falco's gameplan is heavily centralized around his Blaster and down throw. The former being one of the best projectiles in the game, with high speed, spamability, and even some combo potential, and the latter being great for chain grabs and 50-50s, while also leading into some powerful finishers. These two moves alone allow Falco to control neutral and chip away at distant foes, while also heavily punishing any who get too close. He also has incredible jump height, quick attacks, and a DACUS that lets him pump over 20% into an opponent and take stocks with a simple whiff-punish.
