The player controls a fighter of their choice and must win a 2 [[stock]] match against a CPU {{SSBM|Mario}}, a CPU {{SSBM|Luigi}}, and a CPU {{SSBM|Peach}} on the [[Mushroom Kingdom II]] stage. This even match features no time limit. The CPU Mario, Luigi, and Peach's [[artificial intelligence]] is set at Level 5.

As the title says, this event is related to ''[[Super Mario Bros. 2]]'', the characters and the stage, namely fighting against [[Mario (SSBM)|Mario]], [[Luigi (SSBM)|Luigi]], and [[Peach (SSBM)|Princess Toadstool]] on the stage [[Mushroom: Kingdom II]]. Also, friendly fire is on, allowing the opponents to harm each other.


When the match starts, the player's fighter will spawn on the left side of the center main platform, while Mario spawns on the right side of the center main platform, Luigi spawns on the leftmost main platform, and Peach spawns on the rightmost main platform. The CPU fighters can also damage each other, making it easier for the player to [[KO]] them.
The description of this event is slightly inaccurate because Toad is not there as a playable character in his own right, although he [[Toad (move)|is present as one of Peach's attacks]].
