During the animation for both attacks, a blue flame effect appears around Joker's feet (the same as [[Rebel's Guard]]), based off the aura that appears when the Phantom Thieves are selecting and casting a Persona skill in ''Persona 5''. Joker's finger snap when using this attack harkens back to his animation in ''Persona 5'' when using an item in battle, while his kneeling down when casting Eigaon resembles Arsène's magic attack animation in the same game.

The lingering damage effect is not present in ''Persona 5'', though it may be a reference to Eiha and other Death spells' attributes in ''Revelations: Persona'', where they deal persistent damage to the targeted enemy over the course of several turns.
