| Donkey Kong does a backhanded slap. Despite being quite slow and not having exceptional knockback, this move is probably DK's best grounded poke, as {{mvsub|Donkey Kong|SSBM|down tilt}} has too little knockback and less range. Serves as an acceptable mid-range tool for catching people dashing forward, starting jumps, or whiff punishing some sloppily spaced moves at a distance. Generally too little knockback to kill, but has enough to setup up for DK's decent edgeguarding.
