'''DLC Spirits''' is a ''[[Super Smash Bros. Ultimate]]'' mode added in [[List of updates (SSBU)#3.0.0|Version 3.0.0]] where players can collect [[spirit]]s based on each respective [[Downloadable_content_(SSBU)#Challenger_Packs|Challenger Pack]], with the background and music of the menu of each DLC Spirit Board being themed after it.

Unlike the [[Spirit Board]], Spirit Battles in this mode can be played as many times as the player wants, and if the player defeats a spirit, they get it right away instead of having to shoot it, much like in [[World of Light]]. These boards can also have multiple pages if there are more than eight spirits in a given board (excluding [[Enhanceable spirit|enhanced spirits]]).

In 3.0.0, the DLC Spirits button originally went straight to ''Persona'''s Spirit Board, but starting with [[List of updates (SSBU)#4.0.0|Version 4.0.0]], the selection was changed to a menu containing the various Spirit Boards for each Challenger Pack of Fighters Pass Vol. 1 & 2, with the options for the unreleased boards being labeled as "COMING SOON". Starting with [[List of updates (SSBU)#8.0.0|Version 8.0.0]], the menu was expanded to two columns with content from Fighters Pass Vol. 1 appearing on the left column and Vol. 2 appearing on the right column. The only way to access spirits exclusive to the DLC boards without the DLC being purchased is by spending Gold on them in the [[Vault]] [[Shop]] or finishing {{SSBU|Classic Mode}} with any fighter, although their Spirit Battles cannot be [[rematch]]ed in the {{h2|Inventory|Spirit List}}.

Completing all the Spirit Battles on a board will reward the player with 10,000 {{b|Gold|collectible}}.
