According to the manual, the Condor is responsible for hiding the vegetables in the game's bonus stages. Upon scaling each mountain, either [[Ice Climbers|Popo or Nana]] must jump and grab onto the Condor's talons as it flies around the summit, which will complete the bonus stage.
