Similar to the mechanics of Mr. Game & Watch's [[Judge]], a food will not be launched with the same trajectory as either of the two previous foods. This means that at any one time three of the five trajectories are possible. At the start of the match, the previous two trajectories are set to the second shortest and second longest trajectories. In ''Ultimate'', the food's trajectory can be almost completely controlled. With backwards input, the food flies slightly closer to Mr. Game & Watch; similarly, with forwards input, it flies lower and further away.
