*There are over 700 players in this category. No other player category, not even :Category:Fox players (SSBM) or :Category:Meta Knight players (SSBB), has numbers remotely close to this category. It makes me question how many of these players are actually "Wi-Fi Warriors" or just players who have done well at a couple of online events. This also relates to the first point in that literally any top player who does well online can get this category, so a top player can be considered a "Wi-Fi Warrior" by simply doing well at a Coinbox event. | *There are over 700 players in this category. I feel like we are at a time where this category is no longer necessary, as at best it serves to glorify a player | I feel like we are at a time where this category is no longer necessary, as at best it serves to glorify a player who plays in online tournaments, and at worst it creates a separation that is erroneous and unnecessary. As such, I believe it's best to retire this category once and for all. :Kill it I would say this category was never needed in the first place; ever since Brawl the vast majority of noteworthy players were heavy online players at some point. Another issue is that "Wi-Fi Warrior" originates as a derogatory term for players that play primarily online, leading to instances of people making a fuss when they saw this category on their page labelling them as a "Wi-Fi Warrior". Omega Tyrant 12:46, July 23, 2024 (EDT) | :Kill it I would say this category was never needed in the first place; ever since Brawl the vast majority of noteworthy players were heavy online players at some point. ::Yeah, the reasons why this page shouldn't exist are probably more interesting and useful than the page itself.
