Origin
Origin
Bonsly is a Rock-type bulbapedia formally part of bulbapedia, but actually making its debut, even being playable in a limited capacity, in the bulbapedia game bulbapedia. Bonsly is categorized within the Pokédex at #438 as the "Bonsai Pokémon". It evolves into Sudowoodo when it levels up while knowing bulbapedia.
Introduced in bulbapedia, Bonsly (#438 in the National Pokédex) is a Rock-type Pokémon, and evolves into Sudowoodo when it levels up knowing bulbapedia. Its main Abilities are bulbapedia and bulbapedia. In Generation IV, a Bonsly with Sturdy cannot be damaged by the four one-hit knock out moves. After Generation IV, a Sturdy Bonsly cannot be knocked out from full health. A Rock Head Bonsly will not take recoil damage.

bulbapedia is a Normal-type move with 40 base power and 100% accuracy (35 and 95% before bulbapedia, 50 and 100% from then until bulbapedia) and no added effects. It is a very basic move which consist in a simple charge against a single opponent, and it is part of the starting moveset of many Pokémon. However, Bonsly could not learn the move until bulbapedia, which released long after Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Bonsly is one of the Pokémon that appears out of a Poké Ball. If it is not picked up, it will walk back and forth along the ground, similar to a Bob-omb. When it appears, it can be picked up and thrown at enemies, but despite its small size, it is thrown and carried like a Crate rather than a normal item due to its weight. Given this, it won't fly very far when thrown, but it inflicts heavy knockback and damage against opponents it comes in contact with. When thrown, it will also bounce along the ground upon contact with it, while retaining its hitboxes. Like any thrown item, Bonsly can be reflected. It can usually only be thrown 3 times before disappearing.

It can be picked up, and despite its small size, its heavy weight makes it behave like a Crate instead of a common item. It can then be thrown at enemies, and while it doesn't fly very far it inflicts 30% damage with heavy knockback, not depending on how it is thrown. After being thrown it also bounces along the ground for a while, retaining its hitboxes. Like any thrown item, Bonsly can be reflected. It can usually only be thrown 3 times before disappearing, but will still disappear on its own after a while.
