Beedrill (スピアー, Spear) is a creature in the Pokémon media franchise.

Origin
Beedrill (スピアー, Supiā, Spear in Japanese language versions) is a fictional creature in the Pokémon media franchise.
Beedrill is a Bug/Poison-type Pokémon introduced in bulbapedia. It is listed as #015 in the Pokédex and known as the "Poison Bee Pokémon". Beedrill evolves from Kakuna at level 10, which evolves from Weedle at level 7. As of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Beedrill is capable of undergoing bulbapedia.

Creature description
Beedrill is a large, hornet-like Pokémon. It is one of the original 151 Pokémon that appeared in Pokémon Red and Blue.  Its body resembles that of a hornet, with large insectoid wings and lance-shaped arms in addition to the stinger on its imposing abdomen. It evolves from the pupa-like Kakuna at level 10 onwards, which evolves from the larval Weedle at level 7 onwards.

According to the Pokédex, using all three stingers to jab at a target repeatedly, it can take down any opponent, then takes its fallen prey back to its nest for food. The stinger on its abdomen secretes the most powerful poison of its three pointed barbs. Its best attack involves flying around at high speed, striking with poison needles, then flying off. No one should ever approach the nest of this extremely territorial specie - if angered, they will attack in a furious swarm.

bulbapedia is a Normal-type move with 90 base power and 85% accuracy. It also deals 1/4 of the damage inflicted as bulbapedia. Beedrill can learn it via bulbapedia only in bulbapedia.

Beedrill makes its first appearance and so far only in the Super Smash Bros. series as a Poké Ball Pokémon in Super Smash Bros.. It performs Poison Sting; when Beedrill is summoned, a single Beedrill will fly off the screen. A couple of seconds later, a swarm of Beedrill will be moving horizontally across the screen. Any character that makes contact with Beedrill will take damage, excluding the summoner.

Beedrill did not return in any following game, but Unown attacks in a similar fashion in Super Smash Bros. Melee.
