Wiki Behavior[edit]

Hi, I'd like to share a little insight with you as to how SmashWiki (and wikis in generally) tends to work, as a response to some of your statements on DracoRexKing's talk page.

New editors are always welcome, and we appreciate your interest in contributing to the content of the wiki. That said, the nature of all wikis is to be a collaborative environment where everyone can contribute constructively to pages, and part of that means that any edits you make outside of your userspace are subject to review, criticism, and revision by other editors of the wiki. When there is disagreement about the nature or content of an edit, users are expected to discuss their disagreement on the talk page of the article-- so in the case of your edits, Talk:Link (SSBU)-- until an agreement can be reached.

However, users engaging in repeated edits/reverts with other users are said to be "edit warring", a practice which is disruptive to the wiki and is likely to be met with a short block. The general rule on SmashWiki is SmashWiki:Only revert once, something to keep in mind next time you disagree with someone about mainspace content.

Otherwise, I think you may wish to look through SmashWiki:Read This First, Man, a guide for new users to get acquainted with the community and its general practices. I hope you'll take this into account and work toward being constructive with your time here in the future, and if you have any questions please feel free to reach out to myself or one of the other admins. – Emmett 08:46, 8 October 2018 (EDT)
