Using Show Preview[edit]

Hello, Lovedelic, I see that you have made several consecutive edits to the same page. I want to point out the Show Preview button. It's right next to the Save Page button when you edit. You should use it whenever you are making a lot of experimental edits, for example when you are trying to get formatting right. Using the Show Preview button is quicker and easier than saving and clicking "edit" again, and will keep Recent Changes and page histories from being flooded. Thanks, RickTommy 08:46, 1 October 2016 (EDT)

Leo's name.[edit]

As indicated by his Twitter, the proper way of writing Leo's name is "MkLeo". Please stop capitalizing the "K" in his name. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 21:39, 26 February 2017 (EST)

Full Bloom 3 Melee singles[edit]

Registration has been closed for Melee singles at Full Bloom 3 for a while. Leffen being allowed to enter seems to have been an exception of sorts, but as it currently stands, the only event that is not capped is Smash 4 doubles. Please try to look at the edit history before changing something back. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 13:34, 16 March 2017 (EDT)

n0ne and Blea Gelo[edit]

On the wiki, the tags for players represent the current country that they live in, not their original ones (the only exception right now is ZeRo, since we don't know if he's officially a resident yet). Please try not to change their flags again, thanks! PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 11:17, 30 April 2017 (EDT)

I don't agree with the policy but I'll obey. Lovedelic (talk) 11:29, 30 April 2017 (EDT)

Japanese Jigglypuff Player (...hai/...yes)[edit]

Where are you getting your information on the puff player who teamed with Jill? If it's from juddy's translated bracket, juddy has already stated in twitch chat that the translation may be inaccurate. When he appeared on stream yesterday, he was ...yes. This is also the case for the vod on SHI-G. KoreanPJs (talk) 20:44, 6 May 2017 (EDT)

KoreanPJs, in all fairness, "hai" can be Japanese for "yes". Disaster Flare Disaster Flare signature image.png (talk) 00:28, 7 May 2017 (EDT)
While this is true, I think if the best information available puts him as ...yes, then the tag should not be deliberately changed from ...yes to ...hai. I came to this talk page to stop Lovedelic edit-warring me. KoreanPJs (talk) 00:37, 7 May 2017 (EDT)
I do agree with that, however. We generally try to keep all foreign player's nicknames translated to English when possible (with clarifications on their article). Disaster Flare Disaster Flare signature image.png (talk) 00:48, 7 May 2017 (EDT)
That makes sense, but I don't see how it is relevant to this discussion since this dispute is between two english translations and not one english and one other language translation. KoreanPJs (talk) 00:58, 7 May 2017 (EDT)
umm, we are not translating the name. names should be kept in the original language. for example, Fukurou; Fukurou is Japanese for Owl, but his tag isn't Owl. Kusodebu registered/signed up as "・・・はい" so we transliterate that. Lovedelic (talk) 07:29, 7 May 2017 (EDT)

GOML 2017 (Brawl)[edit]

Two things.

1. If one of your edits is reverted, please make sure to check the edit history before adding it back. You've done this several times in the past.

2. Brawl was definitely not a national this year. The only player in attendance that has been consistently (or at least semi-consistently) able to make Top 8 at previous nationals was Anti, while other top players such as Vinnie/Nairo/V115/Salem/Ally/Mew2King/more were noticeably absent. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 04:01, 31 July 2017 (EDT)

You've been ignoring this a lot for about six months now. With that being said, I'm officially giving you a block warning. If you are caught ignoring edit summaries again, you will be temporarily blocked from editing the wiki. I highly advise you heed this from now on. If it's that you don't agree with an edit summary, take it to the respective user's talk page instead of putting your edit back, as that's a violation of SW:1RV. Please keep this in mind as well. Disaster Flare Disaster Flare signature image.png (talk) 04:13, 31 July 2017 (EDT)

This was a Brawl tournament (one of the few that people even know about, I might add) that had entrants from all over Canada and a few from the US, and that almost matched the numbers at smash con. How does this not qualify as a national in 2017? Can you explain the nuance I'm missing? Lovedelic (talk) 08:44, 2 August 2017 (EDT)

1. As I already stated, the event was not stacked compared to other post-Smash 4 era events, even if there were people from Canada/USA present. It had Anti, sure, but it was missing all of the other heavy hitters such as Vinnie/Nairo/Ally/V115/Salem/Mew2King. All of the other post-Smash 4 nationals for Brawl that are listed had at least 2/3 of those players or more (including Anti). I don't think we should be listing it as a national just to fill up space if the competition is significantly less impressive than the others.
2. GOML 2017 had 52 entrants, which is not even half of the size of SSC 2015 for Brawl, let alone SSC 2016 or SSC 2017. It certainly doesn't come close to Smash Con's numbers. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 15:01, 2 August 2017 (EDT)

ah I see now, I apologize for being stupid wasting your time. Lovedelic (talk) 16:13, 2 August 2017 (EDT)

ZeRo's place of residence[edit]

Unless you have proof otherwise, do not change Chile to USA. As far as it's known, he's doesn't have official citizenship yet, which means he technically does not live in America. Until we have proof he has citizenship, leave it as is. Disaster Flare Disaster Flare signature image.png (talk) 22:02, 8 October 2017 (EDT)

WHAT? You guys really aren't consistent about this. Do we have any proof of n0ne's Canadian citizenship? or Widl's American citizenship? Blea Gelo's? We might as well just use everyone's country of origin then. this is really irritating.Lovedelic (talk) 22:38, 8 October 2017 (EDT)
Don't look at me, I'm not the one who made the rule, I'm just explaining to you what we've always done. Disaster Flare Disaster Flare signature image.png (talk) 22:42, 8 October 2017 (EDT)

Shuffling around of Pound 2019 results chart[edit]

Any particular reason why you're doing this?

Antimony (talk) 15:04, April 21, 2019 (EDT)Antimony

It's aesthetically pleasing to me. I'm bored. I like putting smashers from countries other than America above Americans. Life is meaningless, etc. If it breaks the rules, I'll stop.

Lovedelic (talk) 15:22, April 21, 2019 (EDT)

Edit summaries[edit]

If an edit of yours is undone, please look at the edit history before reverting without an explanation. You've been warned about this in the past as well (see the GOML section above, although I changed my stance on that particular situation), so just giving you a heads up, is all. —Preceding unsigned comment added by PokemonMasterJamal3 (talkcontribs) 17:29, May 2, 2019

Please stop removing Smash 4 info from smasher pages.[edit]

If you're going to write about their Ultimate careers, make a new paragraph instead of overwriting the existing section. Also, please stop removing Tsu's former tag from his page, even if it's only a very minor change that he made. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 02:16, June 10, 2019 (EDT)

Character usage[edit]

Only characters that were used to win sets should be added to the result sections. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 19:59, June 10, 2019 (EDT)

Smash Summit 9[edit]

I don't know what you're doing but please stop. The simplest, most consistent way to order people in the same placement is when they were eliminated.Antimony (talk) 14:31, February 16, 2020 (EST)

That's just your opinion. I like ordering them by characters used, it looks nicer to me. I am very, very bored so you'll have to report me to get me to stop. Have a great day. Lovedelic (talk) 14:34, February 16, 2020 (EST)

That's not how that works. We report it based on when they were eliminated. It's not opinion, it's policy. Don't do it again. Disaster Flare Disaster Flare signature image.png (talk) 14:35, February 16, 2020 (EST)

you two are fascists

Lovedelic (talk) 14:36, February 16, 2020 (EST)

Hey, stop doing the exact same thing that led to your block last time. CookiesCnC Signature.pngCreme 19:04, February 23, 2020 (EST)

Hey, leave me alone. Lovedelic (talk) 15:44, February 29, 2020 (EST)

Alright listen up[edit]

You've been blocked twice now and told off a number of times for switching the results around based on your own opinion without any consensus. As it stands, we order the results as they're seen on results sites for the sake of consistency. You're a good contributor who as done a lot for the competitive side of the wiki, but this is a problem that needs to stop now. If you want to switch results around, get a consensus first. If you are caught switching them around again without any consensus, you will be blocked again. This is the last warning I'm going to give you, so I advise you heed what I'm saying. Disaster Flare Disaster Flare signature image.png (talk) 10:36, March 6, 2020 (EST)

I apologize. It won't happen again. Lovedelic (talk) 10:38, March 6, 2020 (EST)

Going to bump this, since it's really suspicious that all the GOMLine players with pages are placed before the GOMLine players without pages. I know you haven't updated in a while so you may have forgotten this rule, so I'm gonna quickly remind you again. CookiesCnC Signature.pngCreme 20:45, July 28, 2020 (EDT)

Upcoming reminder[edit]

When creating an upcoming tournament, don't forget to add the {{upcoming}} tag at the top of the page. That way, it would be categorized as an upcoming tournament. CookiesCnC Signature.pngCreme 16:12, March 6, 2020 (EST)

Your recent edits[edit]

Policy.png Reminder: Please use the Show preview button located next to the Save page button to preview your edits. This prevents consecutive edits to the same page from clogging up the recent changes list.

If possible, make all your edits at once, instead of individually. This is to avoid clogging up Recent changes. Thanks! Awesomelink234, the Super Cool Gamer (talk) 17:00, July 26, 2020 (EDT)

Actually, usually tournament pages are an exception, since all sets don't complete themselves at the same time, but periodically, so edits like these are kinda inevitable. CookiesCnC Signature.pngCreme 17:06, July 26, 2020 (EDT)
Yeah thats why the "ongoing" template would say "Information may change rapidly as the event progresses". Grand Dad.png NPM Morr!? NaughtyPigBoi.jpg 23:53, July 26, 2020 (EDT)
