Reckless Wiimote Guy is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Dream. He was confirmed on December 10th, and is the third character confirmed by DatNuttyKid, following Pokémon Ranger and Mr. AR.

Attributes[edit]

Reckless Wiimote Guy is a blue silhouette of a man holding a Wii Remote (or Wiimote) and Nunchuk. His attacks are over-exaggerated button pushes, which are generally the input entered by the player to trigger the attack, making it look like he himself is playing.

Moveset[edit]

Standard Attacks[edit]

  • Neutral: Reckless hits the A button while jabbing with his Wiimote.
    • Combo: Reckless drops the Nunchuk to button-mash the A button with two hands, still jabbing. The Nunchuk also swings back and forth, doing damage.
  • F-Tilt: Reckless dashes forwards while tilting the control stick in that direction and pressing the A button.
  • U-Tilt: Reckless jumps with the Wiimote and Nunchuk above his head while tilting the control stick up and pressing the A button.
  • D-Tilt: Reckless extends the Wiimote and Nunchuk in opposite directions on both sides of him while tilting the control stick down and pressing the A button.
  • Dash: Reckless jumps forward a short distance before skidding to a stop after hitting the A button.
  • F-Smash: Reckless swings the Wiimote and Nunchuk, leaving orange marks, resembling his official artwork.
  • U-Smash: Reckless swings the Wiimote and Nunchuk above his head and then down on either side, leaving orange marks.
  • D-Smash: Reckless throws the Wiimote to the ground and it bounces back up into his hand.
  • N-Air: Reckless swings the Wiimote in a side hook while pressing the A button.
  • F-Air: Reckless swings the Nunchuk in a larger hook while tilting the control stick forward and hitting the A button.
  • B-Air: Reckless whirls around and jabs both the Wiimote and Nunchuk behind him while tilting the control stick back and hitting the A button.
  • U-Air: Reckless throws the Nunchuk above him and catches it as it comes back down.
  • D-Air: Reckless puts the Wiimote beneath him, posing similarly to Link and Toon Link's down aerials.
  • Grab: Reckless reaches out with the Wiimote, pressing A and B simultaneously, and wrapping the opponent in the cord before pulling them back to him.
    • Pummel: Reckless jabs the opponent with the Wiimote, pressing the A button.
    • F-Throw: Reckless lifts his leg as he pushes forward on the control stick, knocking the opponent up and forwards.
    • B-Throw: Reckless whirls around as he pushes backward on the control stick, releasing the opponent from the cord and sending them flying.
    • U-Throw: Reckless raises the Wiimote and Nunchuk above his head, boosting the opponent straight up.
    • D-Throw: Reckless throws both the Wiimote and the Nunchuk to the ground, the opponent going with them, and the Wiimote and Nunchuk bounce back up into his hands.
  • Floor-F: Reckless swings the Wiimote and Nunchuk in front of him as he jumps to his feet.
  • Floor-B: Reckless swings the Wiimote and Nunchuk behind him as he jumps to his feet.
  • Floor-T: Reckless spins in a circle with the Wiimote and Nunchuk as he jumps to his feet.
  • Edge: Reckless pounds the Wiimote on the ground as he climbs up.
  • Neutral Special - Reckless 360: Reckless spins around with the Wiimote and Nunchuk extended in opposite directions, leaving orange marks. It can be charged to last longer.
    • Custom 1 - Speedy 360: Doesn't require charging, but does less damage.
    • Custom 2 - Attractive 360: Takes longer to fully charge, but opponents are pulled into the spin.
  • Side Special - Smashed Vase: A vase appears on a table in front of Reckless, and he hits it with the Wiimote, sending it flying in two pieces. The appearance of the table and vase, the swing of the Wiimote, and the flying pieces all do damage. The table also functions as a platform until it vanishes, and can even be Pocketed.
    • Custom 1 - Giant Vase: The vase is larger and does more damage, but doesn't fly as far.
    • Custom 2 - Bruised Buddy: Instead of a vase appearing, a duplicate of Reckless appears. When he gets hit, he is sent flying like a smasher, doing damage to anyone he collides with.
  • Up Special - Bouncy Couch: A couch appears underneath Reckless, bouncing him upwards as he wildly swings the Wiimote and Nunchuk.
    • Custom 1 - Super-Bouncy Couch: Reckless bounces higher and can be controlled more, but does not swing the Wiimote and Nunchuk and therefore does not cause damage.
    • Custom 2 - Plummeting Couch: After Reckless bounces, the couch falls straight down (unless used on the ground). The falling couch does more damage and can meteor smash or bury opponents, but Reckless doesn't bounce as high.
  • Down Special - RAGEQUIT: Reckless poses, and if he is hit by an attack he angrily throws the Wiimote and Nunchuk at the opponent and vanishes temporarily.
    • Custom 1 - Insane Rage: Reckless throws the Wiimote and Nunchuk down and vanishes whether or not he is hit. It cannot be used as a counter, and does less damage.
    • Custom 2 - Violent Rage: Reckless beats the caught opponent with the Wiimote and Nunchuk, but does not disappear. The attack can be interrupted if another opponent attacks him.
  • Final Smash - Always Wear a Wrist Strap: Reckless swings his Wiimote, but it comes flying out of his hand and into the foreground, where it smashes into the screen itself similar to a Screen KO, cracking it. This causes massive damage to everyone in the battle, including Reckless, but has no knockback. After a few seconds, the cracks fade away.

Taunts[edit]

  • Up Taunt: Reckless pulls out a bottle of water and guzzles it.
  • Side Taunt: Reckless sighs and wipes his forehead.
  • Down Taunt: Reckless stretches upward, but drops the Wiimote, which hits his head.

On-Screen Appearance[edit]

Reckless appears next to a table with a lamp, knocks the lamp off, and looks embarrassed.

Idle Poses[edit]

  • Reckless bounces, boxing with the Wiimote and Nunchuk.
  • Reckless scratches his scalp.

Reveal trailer[edit]

The trailer opens up with the Wii Menu appearing, with the Smash logo appearing on the disc channel. A cursor selects it and it loads up, showing the usual wrist strap warnings, but when it reaches the image of Reckless Wiimote Guy, Pikachu and Kirby walk on screen, looking confused, and Reckless Wiimote Guy comes to life, swinging his Wiimote and Nunchuk and taking both of them, and most of the screen, out, followed by the splash screen.

The rest of the trailer shows him battling various opponents, with warnings such as "Don't try this at home", "Remember, never throw your controllers!", etc. appearing on the sides of the screen.

Trophies[edit]

Reckless Wiimote Guy
What happens when you're reckless while playing Wii? Well, the carnage referred to as Wiimote Reckless Guy, if he is to be believed. He may take it to the highest extreme... We suggest not trying any of this at home. Either way, he is a powerful fighter that is not to be messed with.

Things to never do: 1) Swing your Wii Remote at a vase (unless you intend on using it as a projectile.) 2) Jump on the couch while swinging your Wii Remote (unless you are falling towards a blast line and need to recover). 3) Get mad and throw your Wii Remote to the ground before quitting (unless you want to use it as a super powerful counter.) There are exceptions to everything.
