Overview

Charizard soars into the air, passing the upper blast line with the opponent in tow. It then zooms back down and slams them against the floor. It is similar to Kirby and Meta Knight's up throws. In terms of knockback, it is the strongest up throw in the game, KOing at 136%, as well as the second strongest overall throw in the game, only behind Ness's back throw. However, DI is more effective in lowering its KO power than Mewtwo's up throw, which is the second strongest up throw in the game. Like Mewtwo's, it can also KO even sooner on stages with platforms, such as Battlefield, doing so at around 108%. While it is best suited for KOing, it can also act as a set-up for Flare Blitz, which deals 30% altogether. However, this combo can only be used on an opponent that is at 0% and can be air dodged by a particularly vigilant opponent.

This throw is inspired by the anime's depiction of Seismic Toss.
